The Process
Requirements Definition Phase

Gather all the necessary requirements for the project. This includes:

  • gathering current traffic statistics,
  • mapping the current site taxonomy,
  • establishing the business processes for administering the site,
  • identifying key personnel responsible for content provision, and
  • surveying users for greater insight.
Analysis Phase
  • Analyze information
  • Create Project Document, containing:
    • Business Requirements (high-level blueprint for workflow and business process)
    • Technical Requirements (high-level blueprint for data and technology architecture)
    • Project Scope (the project plan for implementation, detailing phases of development and roll-out)
  • Design a graphical prototype of the user interface and suggested page layout
  • Review Project Document and graphical prototype with client
  • Make necessary changes to Project Document and graphical prototype
  • Client signs off on Analysis Phase
Implementation Phase
  • Create graphics for web design
  • Code page layout
  • Code functionality for website
  • Create physical databases
  • Migrate content into website
Testing Phase
  • Test the implementation with key personnel
  • Collect and analyze feedback
  • Implement necessary changes
  • Client signs off on Testing Phase
Release Phase
  • Launch site in phases (by section)
  • Collect user feedback and continue to refine on an ongoing basis
